Category: Religious Size: Human-sized Weight: Pretty heavy Value: Extremely high
This opulent ceremonial armor is worn only in the royal palace by either the palace guards or the off-duty Saburashi. Each set of ceremonial armor is custom-made for the current ruling family whenever a new Empress is put in power, meaning that each tier of the royal family has their own set of recognizable armor designs and color schemes.
While visually stunning, this armor serves little to no functional purpose whatsoever and is extremely difficult to move around in. Palace guards will usually be armed with either a broadsword or small set of daggers strapped to their waists, but in the event that something were to happen during a ceremony, it would be near impossible for them to be useful at all in battle due to the sheer weight of this armor. Furthermore, the armor’s aesthetic appeal is misleading, as most often, it is brought out and worn for rituals involving blood sacrifices and punishments.
